Co-op invests in digital agronomy with new online platform and brand

March 22, 2022

Co-op is excited to launch CO-OP® AGZONE, a brand-new suite of digital solutions that will grow to support Western Canadian producers at key touchpoints: in the field, in the yard and in the books.

The first digital solution to launch under the Co-op AgZone brand is Co-op AgZone FIELD, a full-service digital agronomy tool that provides a simpler way to collect, share and interpret data for both farmers and local Co-op Grow Team members alike. Through use of this tool, producers will increase their ability to maximize yields and improve farm operations by making data-driven decisions easier.

“The launch of Co-op AgZone FIELD is a game-changing milestone for Co-op Agro and highlights our longstanding support for Western Canadian producers,” says Trish Meyers, PAg, Director of Ag Solutions at Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL).

“With this tool, farmers can consolidate all their data together in one place, including crop plans, as-applied details, planting and yield records, remote imagery, soil information, and more. Co-op Grow Team members can add to and analyze that data, and use the tool’s powerful analytics to examine yields, calculate returns and determine adjustments that should be made for the season ahead.”

Unlocking the value of on-farm data for faster, smarter decisions

As a best-in-class digital agronomy tool, Co-op AgZone FIELD will help producers drive maximum productivity and profitability through the following:

  • Consolidating data from different sources and evaluating results
  • Making informed, real-time decisions that optimize yields
  • Streamlined collaboration with local Co-op Grow Team members

Precise recommendations are made easier with geo-referencing capabilities that identify the exact location of pests and problem areas, along with a checklist of steps to resolve potential field issues or optimize yields. By sharing data between farmers and their local Co-op Grow Team members, both parties can stay up-to-date on recommendations and actions taken.

Producers can rest easy knowing their information is secure. Data is encrypted and safely stored in the cloud-based platform and remains under the ownership of the farm customer.
Rooted in the future of agriculture

As the agriculture industry shifts further into the use of digital technologies, Co-op is proud to continue to support Western Canadian growers, now and into the future.

In the seasons ahead, the Co-op AgZone platform will grow to meet the current and future needs of producers, with the introduction of an ag product information catalogue, online chat and transactional capabilities. As enhancements progress, Co-op will continue to deliver trusted advice and solutions in the same way it has for generations: Western Canadian focused and farmer-first.

Producers can learn more about Co-op AgZone by speaking with a Co-op Grow Team member at their local Co-op Agro Centre or by visiting www.agro.crs.
