FCL invites applications for Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians for approximately 3 to 7 weeks for the upcoming maintenance Turnaround in our Co-op Refinery Complex located in Regina, Saskatchewan. Turnaround is a massive annual project in which major portions of the Refinery are shut down for maintenance and inspections that can only be performed when the Refinery is inactive. Because parts of the Refinery are not operating during Turnaround, it is an intense period where work must safely and correctly be completed in a relatively short timeframe.
Training is provided and will begin as early as February – March 2019, with the first day on site to follow. Candidates must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends and would be expected to complete the full term. Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this position include, calibration of electronic and pneumatic instruments, repair and maintenance of control valves and regulators, DCS loop tuning, interfacing with operations for troubleshooting process problems, and confirming control logic with the DCS. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include Journeyperson Certificate and/or Inter-provincial Red Seal Certificate, plus a minimum of four years’ experience directly related to the required duties. Preference will be given to those candidates with a valid Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT) certificate. Due to the nature of the work, a positive safety attitude is required.
Additional Information: As these positions are safety sensitive, all applicants will be required to successfully complete a drug and alcohol test and will require a valid criminal record check. The completion of CRC’s orientation and training programs will also be required prior to the first day on site. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma, a Class 3A license, and experience delivering compressed gas products preferred. Propane and Gas Fitters license preferred.
