Co-op Refinery Complex provides donation, partners with Sherwood Co-op to support temporary winter shelter

January 26, 2023

For those experiencing homelessness, the winter months can be some of the harshest. Today, CRC and Sherwood Co-op have come together to help those who need it most.

With a temporary winter shelter opening in Regina at the end of January, CRC has committed $50,000, in partnership with Sherwood Co-op to purchase food and other food-related costs required to care for those who face food insecurity.

“This is such an important initiative for our community as together, we endeavour to support those who are experiencing homelessness,” said Gil Le Dressay, Vice President of Manufacturing at Federated Co-operatives Limited. “We consider everyone in this community to be our neighbour. We hope that by supporting the food security aspects of the temporary winter shelter, we are able help our neighbours who need it most.”

With operations based in Regina, both CRC and Sherwood Co-op are invested in the long-term sustainability of their community and committed to helping those experiencing homelessness.
