Wholesale Market expands services available to customers

October 27, 2021

The centrepiece of a relocated food store in northwest Edmonton is a commercial kitchen dedicated to improving business for local foodservice customers while also providing educational opportunities for community groups.

The new Culinary Centre at TGP Wholesale Market will provide culinary expertise and business reviews for restaurants, cafeterias and caterers. TGP also is a long-term supporter of the WeCan Food Basket Society and envision making the kitchen available to community groups in the future.

“We’ve worked to ensure we’re delivering everyday low prices to our Wholesale Market customers,” said Ron Welke, Associate Vice-President of Food at Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). “The new location emphasizes our commitment to being business partners with food operators in the Edmonton area, offering them product delivery, custom meat cutting in store and new features like our Culinary Centre.”

The new 56,000-square-foot store located at 11628 142nd St. delivers wholesale prices with retail service. The Wholesale Market opened Oct. 14 and a grand opening will be planned in 2022.

The facility offers the following new features:

  • The Culinary Centre offers culinary expertise and business reviews to foodservice operators as well as vendor demonstrations.
  • Expanded world food offering
  • Click and Collect online shopping is now available, allowing customers to place orders at clickandcollect.tgp.crs – or on the TGP Click and Collect App – and pick up at a designated time at no charge.
  • Shop and Earn is our new business rewards program. Register in store or online at shopandearn.tgp.crs to get cash back quarterly on purchases of select products.
