Lyle Olson of Endeavour/Preeceville, SK, was elected to the FCL Board in 2020. He is one of the directors elected by District 3 which is comprised of 45 retails in Saskatchewan. Lyle has primary responsibility for seventeen Retail members which are located in the northeastern part of the District.
As an FCL director, Lyle is a member of the Sustainability Committee and the board’s representative to the Saskatchewan Co-operative Association.
In 2010, he became a director of Gateway Co-op and has served as Board chair since 2015. Lyle served as a delegate of Gateway Co-op at FCL’s annual meeting for six years.
Lyle has been active in the community in many capacities, including a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool committee, Board member and Chair of the Sturgis/Timberline School Division, four years on the Crossroads Credit Union Board and local rink and recreation boards.
Lyle has been in the cattle business all his life, worked in the Co-operative Retailing System, and owned and operated a Tempo/Tirecraft business. In 2009, he returned to school to become a certified meatcutter and continues as a partner (with family) in Cool Springs Ranch and Butchery.
Lyle and his wife, Grace, have a daughter, three sons and 14 grandchildren.
