Graham Anderson

Graham Anderson was first elected to the Board of Federated Co-operatives Limited in 2021. He is one of the directors elected by District 2 which is comprised of 20 member co-ops in Alberta and British Columbia. Graham has primary responsibility for 7 member co-ops located across the District.

As an FCL Director, Graham is a member of the Governance and Human Resources Committees and is one of the Board’s representatives to The Co-operators.

Graham’s career and passion is helping co-ops and communities adapt in the low carbon economy. Graham is the founding Director of the Community Energy Initiative at Ecotrust Canada, a charitable program supporting rural and Indigenous communities to install cost-saving home energy retrofits. Previously, Graham co-founded Shift Delivery, a zero-emissions co-operative, and served as a client advisor at Climate Smart, a social enterprise that helps businesses profitably reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Graham holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University, where he studied Economics, Dialogue, and Sustainable Community Development.

Graham was first elected to the Board of East End Storefront Co-operative in 2010 and served as President from 2014 - 2021. Graham grew up in Calgary and Kamloops, and currently resides in Powell River, BC.
