FCL confirms its first COVID-19 case

May 4, 2020

An employee from one of our Saskatoon office locations has been confirmed for COVID-19. The individual, who tested positive on May 1, 2020, has been working remotely since mid-March and had been self-isolating with no exposure to other FCL team members since then.

Our priority is the health and safety of our employees, communities and neighbours. We continue to take precautions to prevent exposure to the virus by following the guidance provided by public health authorities at all of our facilities.

Along with the impacted individual, all our employees who are able to do so have been working remotely since March. We’ve also increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization at our sites and implemented measures to support safe physical distancing for those who continue to report to work.

We want to be transparent and disclose confirmed cases at our facilities, while keeping any personal information confidential, out of respect for our team members. We’re doing everything we can to keep our team members safe while supporting local Co-ops and supplying essential goods and services to co-ops across Western Canada.
