Executive Vice-President, Strategy

Vic Huard was appointed Executive Vice-President of Strategy for Federated Co‑operatives Limited (FCL) in June 2014. This EVP role supports the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to articulate clearly FCL's strategic positioning and ensure that the necessary resources are deployed to support that positioning. The EVP Strategy is responsible for leading a variety of change management initiatives to support FCL's strategic agenda, focusing on ensuring that communications and other processes are in place to drive decision-making that is aligned with and supports the successful execution of FCL's strategic goals. Vic also directly oversees FCL’s strategies in the areas of Sustainability and Brand.
Many of the functions from Vic’s previous role (Vice-President Corporate Affairs) remain within his area of responsibility, including: overseeing the activities of Legal Affairs; Marketing and Communications; and, Government Relations. He also oversees FCL’s Organizational Performance functions, including: Corporate Performance Management; and FCL’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office; the Sustainability Department; and, Insights and Analytics. Vic is also responsible for oversight and direction of the Organizational Performance and Public Relations functions at the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina (a wholly-owned FCL subsidiary).
Prior to joining FCL, Vic was the principal in Vic Huard & Associates Management Consulting. He has served as President and CEO of the RCMP Heritage Centre, CEO of United Way of Regina, and Executive Director of the Regina Community Clinic. Prior to undertaking those various leadership roles he held a number of communications, policy and strategic planning responsibilities with the Government of Saskatchewan.
Vic holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD in Canadian History from Queen’s University at Kingston.
Vic is married to Agniezka (Gabryelle) Wolosik.
