Executive Vice-President, Customer Experience and Stakeholder Engagement

Vic Huard was appointed Executive Vice-President Customer Experience (CX) and Stakeholder Engagement for Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) in February 2019. In this role Vic is directly responsible for leading the customer experience initiative which has been identified as a critical FCL and Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) priority. Vic will continue to lead the CRS-wide brand strategy. This strategy will now more than ever be supported by robust data analytics and insights and will involve much more focused stakeholder consultations within FCL, with FCL’s member-owner retails, and with key outside stakeholders.
This new role is intended to align and streamline key foundational initiatives and functions at FCL, specifically: the cross-functional Customer Experience initiatives; FCL’s Marketing and Communications function (including at the Co-op Refinery Complex); Insights and Analytics; and, the Social Responsibility portfolio.
Vic brings over 25 years of marketing and communications, brand development and execution, and research experience to these initiatives. He has a personal passion for our co-operative business model. He believes that well-defined and executed CX and brand strategies are essential to the long-term success of the CRS. He also believes passionately that Co-op is a true heritage brand and one of Canada’s most powerful brands that sets Co-op apart from our competitors and is foundational to long-term growth.
Vic holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD in Canadian History from Queen’s University at Kingston.
