Schultz elected President/Chair of the Board

March 8, 2018

Brad Schultz of Melville, Sask., was elected President/Chair of the Board of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) on March 5, 2018. The election took place following FCL’s 89th annual meeting.

FCL’s more than 180 retail co-operative members are divided into 15 districts, which each elect a member of FCL’s Board of Directors. Schultz represents district 9, covering east-central Saskatchewan, and has been on FCL’s Board for four years. He spent more than 29 years working in the credit union system before retiring in 2015.

Doug Potentier of Victoria, B.C., was re-elected as the Vice-Chair of the Board.

Re-elected to the FCL Board at elections held during the annual meeting were: Tara Burke of Wainwright, Alta., Joe Bowhay of Didsbury, Alta., Dusty MacDonald of Saskatoon, Sask., Valerie Pearson of Saskatoon, Sask., and Jocelyn VanKoughnet of Carman, Man., all of whom were elected for three-year terms.
