FCL seeking public feedback on proposed facilities in Regina

November 7, 2023

Federated Co-operatives Limited is hosting a public open house. FCL invites interested members of the public to provide feedback on two proposed facilities in Regina:

  • A renewable diesel plant fully-owned by FCL
  • A canola crush plant - a joint venture partnership between FCL and AGT Foods

Help fuel the conversation.

  • Nov. 7, 2023
  • 12 to 8 p.m. (come-and-go between these hours)
  • Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Road, Regina

“As we transition to a low-carbon economy and expand the production of plant based fuels, it’s imperative that we engage in credible and meaningful public consultation,” said Heather Ryan, FCL, CEO. “It’s important to us that we connect and directly communicate with the people and businesses that neighbour these proposed facilities.”

Representatives from FCL will be on site to share information, answer questions and gain a better understanding of public priorities and concerns.

“We’re committed to establishing an open and transparent dialogue with all stakeholders to lay a positive foundation that will serve us throughout the lifecycle of these projects.” said Ryan.

Annually, the crush plant is expected to process ~1.1 million tonnes of canola. Using locally grown product, it’ll supply ~50 per cent of the feedstock needed to produce 15,000 barrels-per-day of FCL manufactured renewable diesel. Collectively known as the Integrated Agriculture Complex, these proposed facilities will be located on lands to the north and east of the Co-op Refinery Complex.

Although not required, the public can register for the open house and submit questions in advance by contacting communications@fcl.crs.
