Gil Le Dressay

Gil Le Dressay is Vice-President, Manufacturing for Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL).

Gil was appointed Vice-President in March 2022 and is responsible for the Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) in Regina, Technical Services for FCL, and the Energy Roadmap – specifically, the Integrated Agriculture Complex.

Gil began his career at CRC as a Process Utility Operator in October 1979. He took a number of leaves in order to pursue his post-secondary education. Gil graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1989.

Throughout his career at CRC, Gil has taken on successive roles with ever-increasing scope of responsibilities. He was an integral part of the team responsible for the pre-commissioning, start-up and optimization of the Section IV expansion. As the Operational Superintendent of Sections I and II, Gil and his team provided process guidance and operational support for the design, hazard analysis, commissioning and start-up of revamps associated with the recent Section V expansion. In December 2012, Gil was appointed as the Manager - Process where he led a 400-strong employee team to ensure the safe and reliable operation of CRC’s processing facilities. Most recently, he served as Vice-President, Refinery Operations, where he led all operational elements of CRC.

Gil is a Professional Engineer with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan and has a certificate in Strategic Leadership from Queen’s University at Kingston in 1999. Gil is on the Advisory Board for the University of Regina Engineering Faculty, and he enjoys volunteering in the community.

Gil was honoured in January 2015 by the University of Saskatchewan Engineering Department as a distinguished alumnus and guest lecturer at the C.J. Mackenzie Gala, celebrating Engineering Excellence.

Gil and his wife Debbie have one daughter.
