FCL invites applications for the position of Communications and Brand Coordinator for The Grocery People located in Edmonton, Alberta.
Under the direction of the Communications and Brand Supervisor, and in close collaboration with the communication and brand team, the Communications and Brand Coordinator assumes responsibility for researching marketing strategies, identifying opportunities, and creating content, and digital assets associated with the TGP brand. In addition, this position will maintain and analyze corresponding metrics in order to gauge success. The Coordinator will plan and execute all Corporate events and also explore opportunities to grow the TGP Brand.
With input and direction from the Communications and Brand Supervisor, develops action plans to continually grow brand awareness and measure impact through all channels. The Coordinator will derive insights by consolidating data from digital providers in order to inform effective decision making.
Reporting to the Communications and Brand Supervisor, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- With guidance from the Communications and Brand Supervisor, develops content, creates visuals and executes digital media strategies aligning with the TGP Brand and Integrated Marketing Calendar. Ie
- Manages, maintains and measures social media dashboards to execute timely delivery of posts to various channels including the co-ordination of a team of subject matter experts and contributors. Tracks, assembles, analyzes and reports on digital metrics, to gauge consumer engagements and interactions through visual reporting and share with internal teams and external clients.
- Support all sales targets, by Marketing ensuring alignment with the integrated marketing calendar and retail action plans. Leads and drives the execution of related activities and events. Activities may include tradeshow hosting and participation, event sponsorship and participation, flyers and promotional material, merchandising, print and digital advertising and social media campaigns including content, venue and logistics coordination. Assists in analysis and follow up of Communication & Brand activities.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree in business, communications, public relations or a related field. And 1-3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated knowledge of digital media practices. Understanding of the latest trend, technologies and methodologies in design, digital and social media marketing. Event planning experience is an asset.
A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
