Brian Humphreys is Vice-President of Energy of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). Brian leads the Energy Products and Services, Supply and Distribution and Crude Oil Teams.
Brian joined FCL after 13 years of progressive responsibility in the domestic and international energy industry at Nexen Energy/CNOOC International in Calgary, where he was Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, responsible for above-ground strategies in support of conventional, unconventional and renewable portfolios and projects in North America, as well as global above-ground risk assessments for new market entries.
His professional experience also includes serving as Director of Strategy and Policy, Government Affairs at Canadian Pacific Railway, Director of Government Affairs at Aquila Networks Canada (later Fortis Alberta) and seven years at senior levels in the Government of Saskatchewan.
His volunteer experience includes being an executive board member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Canada China Business Council. He has also previously served as a board member of the Alberta Chamber of Resources, Advisory Council Member of the Alberta Immigrant Access Fund, board member of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Community Health Services Association Co-operative in Regina.
Brian has earned his Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University in Ottawa and his Master of Arts from the University of Alberta in Edmonton
