Tanker incident on Man. highway

A petroleum tanker operated by Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) caught fire in the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway near Richer, Man., on Sept. 13 around 8:50 a.m.

Manitoba RCMP and the local fire department responded to the incident, which closed down a 10-kilometre stretch of the highway for most of the day.

The driver and one other occupant were taken to the hospital in Ste. Anne, Man., to be treated for minor injuries.

Investigation and clean-up to continue.
