Illegal barricades removed along Regina's Ninth Avenue North

February 7, 2020

The Regina Police Service (RPS) have temporarily restricted Ninth Avenue to local traffic only [The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) and Enbridge]. The CRC will now have access to the gates along Ninth Avenue from Winnipeg Street to McDonald Street. The illegal barricades and debris along Ninth Avenue are being removed.

The removal of the illegal barricades means emergency services now have proper access to the CRC site. In addition, the CRC now has access to its fuel loading facilities along Ninth Avenue and at the McDonald Street Terminal. Fuel trucks have begun loading today as the CRC ensures much-needed fuel gets to the communities that need it. The CRC anticipates that the rule of law will continue to be upheld and is encouraged by the removal of the illegal barricades along Ninth Avenue.
