Board changes following FCL’s 91st Annual Meeting

March 12, 2020

Three new directors were elected Federated Co-operatives Limited’s (FCL) Board of Directors at our 91st Annual Meeting.

District director elections were held on March 1, 2020. Newly elected were Donna Smith of Stony Plain, Alta., Darlene Thorburn of Victoria, B.C., and Lyle Olson of Preeceville, Sask. John Rudyk of Fisher Branch, Man., was re-elected and Ryan Anderson of Melfort, Sask., was acclaimed. Each director will serve a three-year term.

FCL members – more than 160 local co-operatives from across Western Canada – are divided into 15 districts, which each elect a member of FCL’s Board of Directors. The President/Chair is a Board member elected by the 15 members of the Board to lead the democratic decision-making structure that guides FCL’s activities and affairs.

At the Board Re-organization Meeting following the Annual Meeting, the Board re-elected Sharon Alford as President/Chair of the Board and Randy Graham as Vice-Chair.
