Co-op sponsors university sports streaming service
August 29, 2019
Enjoy the excitement of university sports from the comfort of your home – or anywhere else – with Canada West TV presented by Co-op.
Canada West TV is the first university sports streaming network of its kind in Canada. As the presenting sponsor, we’ll be part of more than 1,000 events every year in soccer, basketball, football, volleyball and hockey from teams at 17 universities across Western Canada.
“Canada West TV is a fantastic product that gives students, alumni and fans of university athletics the opportunity to stream their favourite university sports, no matter where they are” said Carey Tufts, FCL’s Director of Marketing and Communications.
“We’re proud to partner with an organization that supports university programs and student athletes. Canada West TV has a strong presence in virtually all of the Western Canadian communities Co-op serves, so we believe this sponsorship is a great fit for both organizations.”
Through this multi-year agreement, our Co-op brand will be integrated into all Canada West TV webcasts and we’ll collaborate on social media content throughout the season.
“For Western Canadians, Co-op is an iconic brand synonymous with community. Like Co-op, Canada West and our student-athletes are committed to our communities, with connections to cities and towns across every corner of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba,” said Canada West President Clint Hamilton.
“Co-op’s desire to partner with Canada West, and specifically on Canada West TV, shows the progress we’ve made as a conference over the last several seasons. We are excited to see how the partnership between our two organizations can grow in the years to come.”
Canada West TV is a subscription service launched in 2011 that broadcasts games live and on demand. Canada West TV Presented by Co-op passes are now available at early-bird pricing. Visit cw.yaretv.com to view the schedule and purchase your pass.
