October 12, 2018
FCL’s 2017-18 Sustainability Report is now available. The report profiles initiatives across five sustainability pillars: Environmental Sustainability, Community Investment, Employee Engagement, Co-operative Leadership and Fiscal Responsibility.
“A lot has changed in the past 90 years, but our purpose has not; we work together to make things better now and for tomorrow by investing in the long-term sustainability of our Co-op, for the members yet to arrive,” said CEO Scott Banda.
“I’m proud to introduce our 2017-2018 Sustainability Report, which highlights some of the steps we’re taking to embed sustainability in our business and the communities where co-ops operate.”
Highlights from the past year include working with growers and processors to offer local, plant-based proteins like chickpeas and lentils, continuing support for Co-operatives First and its work in rural and Indigenous communities, and investing in the resilience of the Co-op Refinery Complex.
