FCL invites applications for the position of Human Resources Analyst (2 vacancies, Temporary, 1 year term with possibility of extension) in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, HR Advisory Services (Region), the HR Analyst as part of a project team will support a new HR information system roll-out in Co-op retail associations across Western Canada, with specific effort within the pre-implementation phase. As the HR point of contact for assigned retails, the Analyst gathers, reviews, and analyzes information about the retail’s current policies and practices, including job titles and pay scales for the new HR information system configuration of the retail. The Analyst will recommend changes to the retail’s HR policies and practices to ensure legislative compliance and consistency across retails.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Advisory Services (Region), responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Review Retail HR policies and practices, including CBAs (if applicable) to understand and document key policy areas such as PTO plan(s), overtime/banked time, hours of work, meal breaks, hours of operation, shift premiums/salary payments, pay scales, benefits, and student worker shifts
- Taking into account applicable provincial employment legislation, recommend changes to policies and practices to ensure compliance and alignment across the CRS
- Review and update employee job titles
- Work with the Region HR Manager, retail, and project change management experts to provide support to the retail in managing workplace implications for policy changes and system implementation
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, preference for Human Resources. 1 – 3 years of relevant experience (Preference in Human Resources)
A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
