FCL invites applications for the position of Credit Clerk (Temporary, up to 10 months) in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Under the leadership of the Credit Supervisor, the Credit Clerk is responsible for the efficient and effective management of: client records, credit applications, Equifax orders from retails, incoming cheques and cash, and the keying of EFT payments.
 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Credit Supervisor, responsibilities for this position include the following: 

  • Filing of correspondence and maintenance of the application, payment and support email accounts.
  • Maintaining client file records.
  • Receive, record, and process applications; includes gathering credit information from applicants’ bank and trade references and doing preliminary Credit Bureau reports.
  • Requesting, recording and billing of all Equifax orders received from retails.
  • Receive, key and deposit cheques and cash including opening and sorting of cheques and keying of payments and payment details.
  • Keying of EFT payments and receiving payment details.
  • Summarize, code and process miscellaneous cash blotter.
  • Set-up loans, maintain petty cash fund, issue investment cheques and settlement of crude oil.
  • Updated interest and U.S. Exchange rates.
  • Order stationary for Finance Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma. One year of office experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area.
