Faramarz Farahani

Executive Vice-President, Innovation

Faramarz Farahani joined Federated Co-operatives Limited in November 2010 as the Vice-President of Technology and was promoted to Executive Vice-President of Innovation in June 2014. The Executive position in charge of innovation was created as a result of the massive, rapid and multiple technology-driven transformations that have been occurring across FCL’s business lines, and to continue to support FCL on its growth journey. As Executive Vice-President of Innovation, Faramarz is responsible for defining and implementing innovative technology solutions to address the increasing demands from retails for an integrated and unified approach to technology.

Faramarz has over 25 years of progressive technical and business management experience, gained through a range of leadership positions in the software, retail, energy, telecommunication and manufacturing industries in Canada and the U.S.

Faramarz’s experience is built on a strong foundation of education and professional development, including a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a four-year Computer Information Systems diploma. In addition, Faramarz also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL certifications. He is an active member of the Conference Board of Canada’s Council of CIOs.

Faramarz and his wife Judy have two sons.
